Purpose of the PTO
The purpose of the organization is to support and enrich Prussing Elementary School by creating an active community of families, teachers, and staff through fundraising, projects, and programs.
What is the Prussing Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)?
The PTO's job is to elevate our children's experience--and the school community--through additional programs, events and fundraising activities, above and beyond the great learning experience provided by the Prussing teachers and administration.
How does the PTO work?
It's parent-led and run. For every one of the PTO events, parents of Prussing Elementary students volunteer their time and talent. This is so important, Prussing Elementary doesn't have extra funds or time in the day to provide these supplemental activities. That's where the PTO comes in. As parents, we can help make our school community even better for our children. Last year the PTO coordinated many extra activities, including Picture Day, Dances for the 5th/6th and 7th/8th graders, supplied buses for field trips, dessert for the Teachers Appreciation Luncheon, and we ended the year with a FUN end of the year picnic for all the students.
