Prussing Moana Show, May 2018
The spring musical Moana was performed for the parents and community on Wednesday evening, May 23rd. All the students of Prussing had an opportunity to view the dress rehearsals of this production. The Prussing P.T.O. sponsored this event providing new microphones and cords, props and all of the costumes for the actors/actresses. The production was directed by Mrs. Arnowitz and Mrs. Beck who worked after school with the students twice a week since February. Drama and Performance class was part of our After School All-Stars program and was eligible to students in grades 3-8. In addition, art students worked in the morning creating Moana’s boat, scenery, props and the beautiful backdrops. The art crew was under the supervision of Mrs. Roelle and Ms. Kim. Finally, in the last three weeks, Mrs. Graham added choreography to the beautiful music of Moana and it all came together! Students worked backstage closing curtains, setting scenes and running the spotlights. Other crew members served as the costume crew keeping everything clean and well organized. Over 50 students and 5 staff members came together to coordinate this amazing event!
