Hanna Kapica – Assistant Principal

My name is Ms. Kapica, and I am proud to be the assistant principal at Prussing Elementary School. My tenure with the Chicago Public School system includes serving as a bilingual parent facilitator for Office of Language and Cultural Education, a bilingual lead teacher, a self-contained teacher for split grades and a Local School Council (LSC) facilitator.  I received an M.S. in Education from Northern Illinois University and Master of Educational Leadership from American College of Education. I have endorsements to teach bilingual students in Polish and Spanish as well as teaching English as a Second Language. I also have a type 75 certificate in school administration. I am a proud Polish-American Citizen.  I was born and raised in Poland. During the past eighteen years I have always promoted my Polish heritage. As an educator, I have been encouraging Polish youth to work voluntarily for the Polish community and to achieve high educational goals for themselves.
